I poked around the NaNoWriMo site last night and found a blog post asking for suggestions for pep talks. I added Christopher Moore in, but quickly realized that the post was from March. Oh well. What surprised me the most was how many people wanted to have our hero, Stephanie Meyer, do a pep talk. I think that's the last thing us NaNovelists

"Guys, listen, I know, writing is REALLY HARD! I tried writing about two books before Twilight? And I couldn't do it. It was too hard. Try having a really inspiring dream right before you sit down to write. That makes writing easy! You will want to do it all the time, and you will never have any problems, and voila, you have a national best seller! And you can trust me, because I am not a liar."
