LUCETI: .eight. [Voice/Action Post]

Jan 29, 2008 23:01

[Having been fortunate enough to avoid the hunter thus far, Albert is not wanting to press his luck when he finally does venture out--he's armed with his lance, he has his dragoon spirit around his neck, though more for the comfort the stone brings than any power he'd get from it in its semi-dormant state, and he's wearing his usual armor under his ( Read more... )

Albert! ...Stay where you are, I'll get there in a few minutes.

[Albert finds some thick gauze and bandages, goes to wash his hands, and then starts applying pressure to the wound.]

If you could lie down...?

[He wants to be sure she won't pass out, and it helps to elevate the wound.]

[After a week of all this, she picks up on a lot more stuff.]

I'll sit. Not gonna lay down, I'll pass out. [So she finds a chair and sits in it, her free hand holding her head as though that will stop the spinning.]

[Albert's not going to argue, even though laying down is supposed to increase the flow of blood to the brain and therefore help prevent fainting.]

[He carefully, but tightly wraps bandages around the gauze, holding it in place and keeping pressure on it to stop the bloodflow, and then finds the pressure point right above the elbow where he can press the artery against the bone to help stem the flow of blood.]

[Her head snaps around at his use of that pressure point. This makes her dizzy, but she stumbles through it anyway]

Th-thanks. ...How'd you know...?

About the pressure point? Lavitz taught me about quite a few of them.

Hmm. [She closes her eyes, holding her head in her hand again. Don't worry, though, she's still awake, and fighting to get her coherence back. After all, Albert's still hurt.]

[Which he is ignoring, thank you! It's not bleeding that badly...really. >_> He's also manhandling Sheena's arm (gently!) to elevate the wound over her heart.]

It will take some time for the bleeding to fully stop...

[Well no, it can't be, there's still an arrow in it.]

I know. ...Plenty of time to think about me being stupid, right? [The flicker of a smile lets him know she's joking, at least a little.] Should be worrying about your shoulder...

My shoulder will keep. Do not concern yourself with it. [Smiles. Kinda pained, but still smiles!]

Y-You know you can't ask me to do that. [Smiles back, but it's in a face that's gone quite pale.]

I can certainly try.

[Worried frown. She's far too pale for his liking. He checks to see if the gauze has been bled through yet, and adds a bit more. There's some herbs he knows of that help staunch bleeding, but it doesn't seem that there's any access to it...]

Geranium or yarrow...

...Flowers?

[Quiet for several more minutes] ...Was a sharp knife, I didn't even notice.

Used in herbal medicine...both are good to staunch bleeding. Aloe would also work well...

Between that and the adrenaline, I'm not surprised you didn't notice.

Should've noticed. I can't afford not to.

[Looks up at him with a small frown. She's still really pale, but seems to have her focus back.] I think it's okay, you can...uh, let go.

[Flushes in slight embarrassment, and lets go. Winces, arrows stuck in places they shouldn't be hurt.]
