LUCETI: .eight. [Voice/Action Post]

Jan 29, 2008 23:01

[Having been fortunate enough to avoid the hunter thus far, Albert is not wanting to press his luck when he finally does venture out--he's armed with his lance, he has his dragoon spirit around his neck, though more for the comfort the stone brings than any power he'd get from it in its semi-dormant state, and he's wearing his usual armor under his ( Read more... )

[[ooc: Let's have a little fun!]]

[With a silent gasp, Sheena stops in her tracks; an arrow streaks by, slicing across her face on the left side]

Run! [With a jump she dodges another arrow; it sticks into the ground right where she once stood]

[Of course, the hunter is going to go for the injured one first. Albert knocks the first arrow aimed at him away with a blast of wind, the second glances off the armor on his chest, but by the time the third is nocked and drawn, Albert is close enough to swing his lance--at the bow, and not its holder. The string snaps, the bow is rendered useless, and Albert spins his lance around before slamming the heavy pole into the hunter's legs. Whether the man goes down or not doesn't matter, Albert's already off and running--back towards Sheena.]

Now we can both run! Come on!

Right. [She lets him go first, though, pulling out a fan-array of cards] Mirage Seal!

[Which raises a smokescreen, more effective than whirling snow, as cover for them to run. Sheena barely feels the knife that reaches through that smoke, and she doesn't wait around to get cut again, turning and sprinting after Albert]

[Albert is a pretty slow runner--he has endurance, but like that is useful when trying to sprint away from a threat. But the hunter has likely decided they're too much trouble anyway.]

[Yes, he probably has. Which is good, because Sheena's slowing down very quickly, and wondering why she's so lightheaded all of a sudden. ...Good thing the clinic's close by?]

[...good thing indeed.]

Sheena!

[Albert has noticed the blood, worry mode is engaged. There will be no survivors.]

[What's off about that is he didn't call her 'lady' Sheena.]

Yeah? What is...unh... [Odd how it didn't hurt until she saw herself bleeding, too. But she is, from a slice across her forearm, right near the elbow.]

[He's so worried that he forgot to be all Mr. Manners. D: He uses the edge of his lance to cut a long strip of fabric from the bottom of his tunic, and wrap it around the wound as tightly as he can with one arm going numb.]

[The blood will soak through that pretty quickly, but it's enough to get them to the clinic and inside.]

I gotta...find...no, I can't. They're still...

[Albert guides her into the clinic.]

...your wound needs to be taken care of.

[He has no idea what she's talking about and that's worrying him. More, anyway.]

[Realizes what she must sound like, but her attempts to make that coherent...well...]

No, it's fine...just, Lute and Kamui...can't ask, because they're...
...Not making sense, huh?

They are injured as well, correct? So long as I can use the supplies, I am capable enough of stopping the bleeding at the very least.

It'll be fine. [She looks at him with vision that's noticeably out of focus.] You first.

...I'm afraid I must insist.

[Those out-of-it eyes are worrying. And sure, he's feeling woozy too, but...GENTLEMEN LET LADIES GO FIRST. D:]

[She has to reach for the wall to hold herself up, and in doing so notices all the blood soaking through her sleeve]

...Yeah. Okay.
