So much to say, so inadequate a format...

My grandfather died on the 8th of this month. I can't really describe the swell of emotions. I really believe that I'm not desperately craving sympathy, though it is admittedly nice to receive it. Your words are quite stunning, and illustrate even more the fact that you are and forever will be my hero.
I wanted to tell you that when you called, and told me that your grandfather had passed, I was driving. I pulled to the curb, opened the door, and found the nearest nature-type-thing to sit upon. In my mind replayed constantly this image I had, from a memory of a short conversation your grandfather and I had outside your company. Every word he said I played back like a video, his motions and o! his smile too. Your grandfather, he was a good man. And it broke my heart that I never made it back to see that wide smile on his face again.
But I do have that memory! And trust every word I say: I will never forget Giovanni Luigi Natali, and the brightness with which he shone.

I don't consider myself particularly versed in regards to condolences, but tomorrow, remember my thoughts are with you and your family; and I will be around if you need any single thing.

Sleep well, Jas.

My condolences. I don't have anything profound to say, I just wanted to let you know that I read the whole thing and my heart goes out to you.
