[Songification - Kako] Kienu, Kienu [1/2]

Aug 09, 2014 00:25

This fic is based on Nino's song, Konseki (Kako). Ohno's POV of this can be found here - it is based on Ohno's solo, Two. These two fics were requested by nino1711azuki. Enjoy :)

“Get out!” Nino shouted. He pushed his dearest boyfriend out of his apartment, slamming the door hard right after it.

Nino waited. He stood still in front of the closed door with a tiniest hope that Ohno Satoshi would at least knock and ask him to open the door. Even though he will definitely ignore the older anyway, he secretly wished for it. He needed it.

Instead of having Ohno knocking on his door, Nino heard faint steps distancing away instead. Ohno was leaving him without much struggle. Again.

Nino rested his back against the door and slowly slid down to the floor. He hugged his knees, he buried his face, he was shaking. He hated himself for doing this to himself - to his relationship, to be precise. But he couldn’t help it, Ohno’s behavior irritated him. Scared him.

Ohno was handsome. His skill in singing was incomparable. His dance was the best kind of art. His body was the most perfect sculpture in the world. He’s a nice man, he’s unique. He’s one of a kind. And Nino? Despite his confidence in front of the world, he couldn’t think of himself as a man who’s worthy enough for Ohno. He’s snarky. He’s not that talented. He’s not even handsome according to some bitter fans.

The fact that Ohno rarely shows his affection towards Nino topped it all. Nino felt doubt bubbling, he felt like Ohno might be not in love with him, and all of those made Nino a sour boyfriend to Ohno. He blamed himself for being not good enough, he blamed Ohno for not showing his attention; resulting in his cranky and explosive behavior towards Ohno.

Sure, he would return back to normal in few days or so, but for now - in the time like this - he tended to snap and shout at Ohno.
Yeah, like it would not make you even more not worthy for him, you smart ass.

Nino shut his eyes close and growled, clawing his head. He fell asleep just there not long after his first tear dropped.

*******

Nino’s hands were trembling over the keys. He was aware of Ohno’s presence right after he stepped out of his apartment but he pretended that he wasn’t. His heart was racing like a mad horse. Some part of himself really wanted to run to the older’s arms and beg for forgiveness, but his ego and his messed up insecurity wouldn’t let him.

“Kazu! Wait up! I want to say something!”

“What else do you want to talk about now? We talked last night and I’m really not in the mood for talking right now. I have work to do. And by the way, don’t you?” Nino’s words poured colder than he intended to. He walked past Ohno with a hardened face but he kept his ears opened, in case if Ohno insisted in talking anyway.
Please, anything but breaking up with me. Please.

“Kazu. Seriously. Wait. I... I met someone today,” Ohno sounded like he’s not sure of what he’s saying.

Nino froze. His ears heated up. His heart was cracking in an unfathomable way.
It’s far worse than breaking up. He found someone else already?
“Met someone? Someone, Oh chan? Yeah. Tell me everything about the people you meet other than me. I’m more than happy to hear that,” Nino stomped his feet to the elevator at once. He really didn’t want Ohno to see the tears that were pooling in his eyes.

Once he was inside the elevator, he placed his forehead to the wall, his back facing the security camera.
The day that I fear the most has come. He’s leaving me and the blame is on me. On the stupid good-for-nothing me.
He punched the wall hard enough to make his knuckles crimson red.

*******

“I.. I’m sorry,” Nino muttered as he made the same mistake for the n-th time.

The director slammed his script to the ground and left the set. He shouted as he go, “Today’s filming is over! There’s no use of filming if the lead actor is as soulless as a ragdoll!”

“I’m sorry, really,” Nino bowed so deep that he couldn’t see anything else than his own feet.

Some people consoled him with pats and polite smile, some others just huffed angrily at him - clearly was not pleased.

“Are you alright, Ninomiya san?” Nino’s manager asked softly.

Nino looked up, everyone was already busy preparing themselves to go home. He sighed, “I’m.. okay, I guess.”

“Do you need anything? Do you want me to take you to Aiba san and Matsumoto san? Their photo-shoot set is near,” the manager knew that this weird behavior could only mean one thing; that Nino was in a fight with Ohno.

Nino was tempted for a slight moment, but then he could see himself crumbling down or even exploding in anger on someone else’s workplace and it wouldn’t be good for him and his best friends, “No. I just want to.. be alone. I want to go home.”
He swung his feet towards his car.

“Fine then, be careful,” was the last of his manager words that he could hear.

Nino got to his car in few minutes. He sighed, feeling a big lump in his heart. He was somewhere between completely saddened and utterly angry. He started the engine and began to drive himself home.

When he’s already half way home, his phone buzzed. Aiba called. Nino threw his phone on the dashboard and ignored it. The buzzing sound stopped for two seconds before Nino heard it again.
It was Jun this time.

Nino grunted. He knew that he can’t ignore Jun, the youngest member would keep calling him like the world would come to an end if he doesn’t pick it up. He connected his phone to his car system and answered it.
“Yeah, what?”

“You okay?” Aiba’s voice surged in.

“Yeah, why?”

“No, you’re not,” Jun barked. It seemed that Aiba and Jun put Nino on loudspeaker. “Stop being so stubborn, Nino. You know fighting with Riida kills you inside out, but why do you always have to be the one who prolong the fights?”

That damn manager must’ve spilled the beans.
“I..,” Nino was about to put a defense on himself, but he remembered Ohno’s words earlier.
‘I met someone..’
He slowed his car down, afraid that his breaking heart would bring disaster.

“Nino..?” Aiba called.

Nino didn’t answer. Tears formed once again. He cursed himself for being such a crybaby.

Aiba seemed to understand Nino’s condition. He sighed and with a soft-as-a-cloud voice he stated, “We - me and Jun - will finish the photo-shoot and come to you, okay?”

“It’s coming to an end...,” Nino blurted out finally. He clicked his tongue and punched the steer wheel in desperation. His emotion was flowing out like a flood, “My relationship with Oh chan... is coming to an end.”

“You always say this when you’re in a fight with him, Nino. You know your relationship won’t come to an end. I’m sure it will last for an eternity and beyond, for God’s sake!” Jun said. His tone showed more worry than anything else.

“He said he met someone, J! He said it today to my face!” Nino yelled. His heart couldn’t take it. He stepped on the pedal deeper, he’s lucky his apartment was already so close.

Jun shut his mouth close. He was stunned.
“Are you sure by ‘met someone’ he means..”

“I don’t know,” Nino answered before Jun could finish his question, “But, who the hell did he meet that makes him come to my apartment first time in the morning just to tell me that?!”

Aiba grunted, “Fuck the photo-shoot, I’ll come there now. Tell me where the hell you are.”

“No!” Nino yelled, entering his apartment area and parking his car, “No.. Just.. just let me alone for now, okay? And you can’t afford walking out from a job like that, you idiot. Johnny san will kill you.”

There was silence from the other side of the line. After some moment, Jun’s heavy sigh heard, “Just.. try to be calm, okay? We - me, this Aiba guy, and our Sho chan - will always be here for you. Both of you.”

Nino’s car parked properly. He smiled a bit and took a deep breath, glad that he had such supportive best friends.
He managed to let out a small chuckle before saying to Jun, “Save that touching line for your next drama, J.”
He added before Jun could protest, “But, really, thank you very much. I appreciate it. Now let me have some time for myself, okay? I’m hanging up.”

“Uhn,” Aiba and Jun hummed.

Nino smiled wider as he pocketed his phone. He planned to take some nap and then maybe - maybe - he will sort everything up with Ohno once he doesn’t want to choke Ohno while weeping over him anymore.

Nino’s plan was getting more and more solid until he got inside his apartment and saw Ohno in there.

“Okaeri, Kazu,” Ohno said as if nothing ever happened. As if he didn’t tell Nino that he met someone earlier this morning.

Nino glanced towards the dining table and he saw complete meals were already prepared.
Oh, I see. A good bye dinner, huh?
Nino balled his hands into fists as the bitter thought swarmed into his head, “Get the hell out of here, Ohno Satoshi. This isn’t your fucking house!”

“I’ve prepared you dinner,” Ohno replied.

Nino blinked his eyes. He could see a desperate expression. Pleading, even. He sensed that something was off immediately, but he didn’t know what it is and decided to ignore it due to his bubbling emotion. His privacy was clearly violated and it sparked another fuse in his head.
“Yeah, I can see that, I’m not blind! How long have you been here, hah?!”

“About a whole day.”

“What the hell?! Just-,” Nino swung his hands around his head, clearly in the verge of yelling his heart out. He then grabbed Ohno’s wrist and pushed him outside the door, “Get out. Out!”

Nino slammed the door on Ohno’s face. Again. But he didn’t need to wait any longer like the other day because Ohno shouted immediately, “Fine! I’ll be waiting outside here all night! I’ll wait until you let me in! I’ve told you I’m sorry about yesterday!”

Nino froze. His heart skipped a beat. Slowly, he peeked through the peep hole.

Ohno was still there, standing straight with a troubled face.

Nino’s heart fuzzed. He was confused.
What’s this? He’s cold once, then told me he met someone, then doing whatever he’s doing right now - fighting for me like I always want him to?
He really sensed that something was off and he didn’t like it.

Nino then decided to let Ohno do as he pleased. He dashed to the room and took a blanket, throwing it carelessly outside the door for Ohno in case Ohno really meant what he said.

“Thank you! And I think I would like some of the dinner too, you know!” Ohno shouted again.

Nino went to the dining table and filled a plate with rice and generous amount of meat, automatically picking Ohno’s favorite while he’s in it. He then opened the door once again and shoved the plate to Ohno’s hands.

Nino closed the door and locked it properly, making sure that Ohno won’t be able to open it with his spare keys. His body was trembling, his heart filled with millions kind of feelings. When he already pooled enough courage, he peeked through the peep hole again.

Nino couldn’t see Ohno anywhere.
See? I know he’s just talking. He doesn’t love me that much. Never, probably.
His heart broke once again.

*******

Nino prepared himself with a foul mood the next morning. He dressed up carelessly and went out of his apartment without even glancing to the mirror.
His eyes widened into the size of a saucer when he saw Ohno was there, sitting on the floor beside the door with blanket around his shoulder and dirty plate near his feet.

“Kazu. Kazu, don’t go. Please?” Ohno stood up at once.

Nino eyed Ohno suspiciously.
He really spent the night here? Ah, no. Maybe he went home last night and came back early this morning.
“What is this bullshit, Riida? I have to go. And you do too. What the hell actually are you doing here since yesterday, huh? Don’t you have work to do?”

“I don’t care about that anymore. Please. Please, Kazu. I need you. Please, don’t go. Please? I need you today more than I have needed you before,” Ohno begged. He grabbed Nino’s arm tightly like a lifeline.

Nino felt Ohno’s body heat from where their skin met. Ohno had a slight fever, Nino was sure. Nino turned his head and observed Ohno carefully. His boyfriend was really pleading, really begging.
So he really spent the night here? Seriously?
Worry started to overpower any other feeling in Nino’s being. His anger flew away without trace immediately. He placed the back of his palm on Ohno’s forehead and ranted, “Geez, you’re having a fever. What is it actually that you want to say?”

“May.. May I get in your apartment? It’s kind of cold out here,” Ohno uttered another plea instead.

“Yea, of course. What the hell were you thinking? Oh God,” Nino ranted again. But he was not upset, he was worried as hell.
He supported Ohno by his shoulder and helped him to his bedroom, “Wait here. I’m going to make you warm tea.”

“No. Don’t leave me,” Ohno moaned. His hand attached to Nino’s.

Nino felt a warm feeling waved in his heart. He felt a smile forming in the corner of his lips but he strained it away. Ohno’s condition was his highest priority right then, “Just to the kitchen, old man. I’ll be back in no time. Geez, what’s wrong with you, really?”
He might sounded like he was irritated, but he’s doing his best to come back to Ohno as fast as he could anyway.

Ohno received the tea that Nino made in a record time and drank it slowly, easing it to his throat one sip at a time.

“Now tell me. What’s with all these fuss, Oh chan?” Nino asked once Ohno calmed down.

“I... Can I ask you to be with me these two days? I want to take you somewhere tomorrow. Just the two of us. But today, I think I just want to stay in with you here. Cuddling all day,” Ohno gazed at Nino with his sleepy eyes.

Cuddling? Two days? Okay, something is really off.
Ohno’s weird behavior really bothered Nino, moreover that it all started when Ohno told him that he met someone, “Hah? Okay, stop this, Oh chan. Just tell me what happened. And by the way, don’t you have that someone you met yesterday? Why don’t you just go and cuddle him instead? Or is it a ‘her’?”

“No.. it’s not like that!” Ohno was exasperated.
Ohno moved closer to Nino, “Yesterday, I was going to go to work when I met this person. He was, just a stranger, you know, but somehow, he managed to remind me about how much I love you. He... somehow made me realize that even though we were fighting and I know full well that you’ll just ignore me for a whole week, I don’t have to keep myself quiet and just wait, you know. I can actually do whatever I have to do to make you forgive me. Because I can’t stand it when you ignore me, Kazu.”

Nino squinted his eyes. It’s not like his boyfriend to talk so much like that. And in one take of breath, no less.

Ohno leaned his head to the side of Nino’s and gave a desperate whisper, “Do you know how painful it was to be ignored by someone you care about the most in the world?”

Nino’s heart skipped few beats upon hearing that. The whole sentences were too sweet to come out from Ohno’s mouth.
Before Nino could gather enough sanity to reply to Ohno, he felt his hands were taken by Ohno and pressed to Ohno’s chest which Nino could feel faintly was throbbing hard.

“So, what do you say? Would you spare your precious time for this ignorant boyfriend of yours?” Ohno asked and kissed Nino’s knuckles.

Nino would be a cruel liar if he said he was still angry. His heart beat proved that he was no longer upset. Instead, he was falling in love once again. His heart felt like a pair of hummingbird’s wings - no longer beating; it was buzzing.
“A stranger? Really?” Nino just wanted to make sure once more, refused to give up so easily even though every cell in his body was already believe in Ohno.

“Yes. A stranger. A very kind one,” Ohno answered in a split second. No hesitation whatsoever.

Ohno’s puppy eyes took Nino’s breath away. It was his weakness. Well, every inch of Ohno Satoshi was his weakness, actually. Especially when this Ohno - this exact Ohno - was showering him with sweet words and longing gestures.
“But I have work today, Satoshi, and don’t you have yours too?”

“Aren’t you tired repeating that line? I can call my manager and telling him that I’m too sick to work. Instead, I do feel unwell after spending the night outside,” Ohno stretched his body.

Nino felt guilt, especially after he found out that this troubling someone who made him all mellow and explosive was just a mere stranger. He wished he opened that damn door for Ohno last night. He murmured under his breath, “Why did you stay there at the first place anyway, stupid old man.”

“Because I need you, Kazu. More than anything else in the world,” Ohno paused, “and of course because I love you so much, Ninomiya Kazunari.”

Nino knew his cheeks were blushing hard so he turned his head to hide it. His heart flustered like a teenage girl in love. He finally really considered Ohno’s request, but he knew it was impossible, “We can’t- well, at least I can’t. It’s too late to call sick today, so I need to go to work soon. You can go home or you can stay here, but I’m going to work.”

Nino swore he could see Ohno’s eyes sparkle before the older asked, “May I go to work with you?”

“Hah?”

“Going with you. To your work. Watching you doing your work. Accompany you on breaks. Having lunch together,” there, Nino saw Ohno’s eyes sparkled again.

Nino chuckled. Ohno looked like a kid who was going to enjoy his time in the theme park. But Ohno was not a kid and instead of theme park, Ohno was excited for spending his time with Nino. His Nino.
It was a dream come true for Nino, but human never satisfied, right? So Nino decided to push his luck a little bit more, “Okay. I’ll take you to work with me. On one condition, you pay my dinner tonight. And I want to have our dinner on that expensive restaurant we once all go there on MatsuJun’s treat.”

“Consider it done,” Ohno answered without thinking.

Nino gaped. He didn’t see that coming. Now he’s the one who looked like a kid who was going to enjoy his time in the theme park.
“Let’s go then,” Nino laced his fingers to Ohno’s and led him to the door.

*******

Nino redeemed his mistakes the other day by acting so damn good that day. He moved from one scene to another easily, stealing glance to the waiting Ohno between takes.

“Ma.. ma... You’re so lucky, Nino san,” one of the actress said after his last take.

“Hm?”

“Oh, come on, it’s not a secret anymore that he’s actually your boyfriend. All those fan service, all of them was actually real, right?” the actress giggled.

Nino blushed and smiled sheepishly. Once again, he looked to Ohno.

Ohno waved a bottle of water in one hand and a small towel in the other, ready to give them to his lover.

“Oh my! Look at him! You don’t even need a manager anymore, Nino san! I envy you, he loves you so much, ne?”

“Yes, yes, he does,” Nino smiled fondly, eyes never left his boyfriend. Suddenly he felt ridiculous for ever doubting about Ohno’s love towards him. Making a ruckus out of it, even.
“Now please excuse me, I have a romantic date to attend to,” Nino said with his proud face before advancing towards Ohno and draped himself around Ohno like a molusc.

*******

The date was indeed romantic. They walked inside the restaurant hand in hand. They came in as a couple, not as two idols who pretended to not in love with each other.

Ohno rested his arm around Nino’s waist protectively while they were waiting to be seated, announcing to the world without a word that Nino was his. To Nino’s surprise, Ohno was all prepared for this date; he reserved the place and even ordered the food in advance. All of Nino’s favorite were there.

“Don’t worry, it’s my treat,” Ohno said.

Nino chuckled, “Of course it is.” Although he wouldn’t mind if he had to pay a fortune for this priceless night with his boyfriend.

Nino made sure he served his boyfriend right. He shoved fat meats and delicious side dishes to Ohno’s mouth lovingly. He poured more drinks. He laughed. He loved. They were happy.

But Nino caught Ohno’s blank stare more than once. Ohno was not so interested in his meal, he only interested in Nino. Something was troubling Ohno and Nino was trying hard to figure it out, but he couldn’t.

“This is great, Oh chan. We should do this more often,” Nino said when he finally give up.
Well, maybe he’s still not feeling so great. He slept outside last night.... because he loves me, he said.
Nino ducked his head down in time to hide his blushing cheeks.

“I wish we could, Kazu. Really,” Ohno’s voice was carried out by the wind.

Nino was still so focused in hiding his super red cheeks that he didn’t hear Ohno’s words properly, “Ha? What’s that Oh chan?”

“No. Nothing,” Ohno smiled. “Can I spend the night on your place, Kazu?”

Nino looked up to Ohno excitedly. After an intense fight, he really missed Ohno’s warmth. He gave his best seductive smile, “Oh you should. This dinner deserve a heavenly treat in exchange, don’t you think?”

Ohno giggled and squeezed Nino closer to his body.

In the end, Nino didn’t get to give the treat that night. Ohno still had a slight fever, so he just cuddled the older to sleep instead.
Nino checked Ohno’s temperature frequently and smiled widely when Ohno’s temperature came back to normal. He caressed Ohno’s cheek. He was amazed with the sleeping boy’s face.

Nino planted a warm kiss on Ohno’s forehead before he curled himself towards Ohno’s chest, “I’m sorry for being cranky and mad easily. I love you, Oh chan. Till death do us part.”

Nino chuckled to his own cheesy line and slowly let the dreamland claimed him.

*******

Ohno kissed Nino before walking out of the bedroom while saying, “Now eat. I’ll prepare our lunch. We’re going to go picnic.”

Nino stared at the breakfast on his lap. He was amused. He just woke up like five minutes ago and he already had his breakfast prepared. On bed. By his boyfriend. While he was still pretty much naked. He couldn’t even processed Ohno’s words properly.

When his brain finally booted up completely, Nino shouted, “Picnic?!”

“Yeah, picnic,” Ohno answered from the kitchen, “What? Never heard a picnic date, before?”

“Picnic date?!” Nino was even more surprised.

“Uhn. And don’t you dare to talk about work. Both of us have nothing on schedule today,” the sound of knife against chop board accentuated Ohno’s voice.

After dinner date, now picnic date?
Nino grinned. He didn’t know what happened but he decided that it was good. Too good to be true, even. If before he was always wondering whether Ohno loves him or not, now he didn’t even have to move to know it. Ohno flooded him with his proof of love in every single second.

Nino lifted the tray from his lap and stood up. He didn’t care to the fact that he’s completely naked. He brought the tray to the kitchen, put it on the table, and hugged Ohno from behind, “I love you, handsome.”

“You’ll catch cold if you walk around naked like that,” Ohno mocked a scold but he smiled sheepishly.

“Let me seek warmth from you, then,” Nino hugged Ohno tighter. His morning wood poking at Ohno’s thigh teasingly.

Ohno laughed, “Eat, Kazunari. Let me finish this so we won’t be starving later. Growling stomach is not a recommended background sound for date, you know.”

Nino pouted and released Ohno. The pout vanished as soon as he reached his breakfast. He munched the pancake greedily and shouted, “Whoa! This is good! You should make me food more often, Oh chan!”

“I’ll do it for the rest of my life,” Ohno said in an undertone.

“Hm?” Nino wanted to confirm what he heard but Ohno just shrugged.

He already heard it clear enough, though.
The rest of my life, eh? The rest of our life?
Nino’s mind wandered to a particular plan that he never executed because he never had enough guts to do it. But now, he started to think that it’s the best time to do it.
“What do you plan for tonight?”

“Tonight?” Ohno mused, “I want to spend the night there, Kazu. Just watching the stars with you there. Is it alright with you? If it’s alright I’ll prepare dinner too.”

“Watching the stars, hm?” Nino was about to laugh but on the second thought, he opted to swallow it.
Well, proposing under the stars does sound nice. And heavenly.
“Of course it’s alright. I bet it will be beautiful. So fucking beautiful,” Nino said with a meaningful smirk, “and don’t you worry about the dinner. A sandwich will do.”
