So yesterday I got my credit card statement in the mail. My interest rate jumped from 13% to 28%! Now they tell you this can happen if you were late on a payment, but I hadn't missed any. And yea, you're right, that doesn't make any sense. You didn't go OVER the limit, so they shouldn't be punnishing you.

Dude that is so fucked up with the credit card. I have a bank one card and i have 0% interest. i paid off everything with that card and i was late with one payment but they were nice enough to let that slide. It doesnt make sense that they would shoot yours up to 24%. But ive got a theory as to why they might do that. When i got my card which was about 4 or 5 months ago they had a special for 0% interest, and im assuming that you got yours a while ago. So to make up for that interest loss they jacked yours up instead of mine (despite the fact that i was late on one payment). Those fucking banks have gotta make make money some way or another.
