Well, and you know, The first six months is just the very beginning of a break in period in a cat's mind. :-)

Much sympathy about the mental foibles of your parents. May you have patience and grace.

I need the patience and grace, because it is very trying, but I know you understand.

Rabbit is doing better every day. She has started wandering into the kitchen fairly frequently, so she is adjusting slowly.

Good days are good things. If it makes your mom feel any better, I do that sometimes and I'm just 37. Hang in there with your folks.

I think your Mom did have a very good day. :) That December broccoli sounds delicious. Hopefully the weather will be wonderful for the count. Not sure if I'll trade you the 10 turkeys roosting in the trees below our house for your 11 squirrels....

Sorry about the migraine and about your Dad. :(

Awww... Sarah is such a good dog! :) And I can certainly understand Mr. Laidback making friends with her. :)

Make that 13 turkeys. They eventually got down from their precarious perches before dawn and when I left they were out front so I could get a good count, Mom a-gobblin' away at them... Looks to be 5 males (feathers all poofed out and strutin' their stuff) and the rest females. Mom said they headed back to the same trees at dusk this evening. I swear they're roosting on limbs no bigger than your thumb...

I'd take the turkeys over the squirrels. :)

I don't know why I'm having so many headaches this month.

Thought about you today when I had to buy broccoli for my upcoming salad. :) May your cats all get along and may the deer be plentiful in your yard!

I'm making broccoli cheese soup today, and I plan to use some fresh broccoli in it. :)
