Reminds me a lot of all those 'terraforming Mars' novels I read as a kid. Beautiful pictures, especially the one with the sun kissing the spires. Lovely timing on that.

Beautiful pictures. I've always wanted to go to Arches and Canyonlands (and even promised myself I would while I lived in Boulder). For now I'll just visit it vicariously through you!

They are definitely worth the trip. Avoid them in summer, though, I think.

Yes, the skull! It was just sitting there, randomly. And bees are good! I hunt butterflies, but I didn't get any good shots of them this trip.

Very nice to see them again! LOL! Yes, you do you lizard-woman you!

Second to last pic is interesting - At first I was thinking snow on top of the ground, but it was too warm when you came through there and then I looked at it some more and it's pretty neat how there's that layer of white (salt? gypsum? limestone? quartz?) eroding out and breaking into huge square-ish chunks.

They call it the "white rim." I've only heard it described as sandstone.

Beautiful photos. I love the alien looking canyon landscapes and the second to last picture is quite striking.
