Hip - Day 13

Sunday, we had a Mother's Day cookout at our house. My parents, nephew, brother, and sister-in-law came. Brother Mark provided all the food... hamburgers, barbecue chicken, and hot dogs plus a potato and a bean casserole. Kate provided the apple wood for the grill. It's night and day. I can hardly believe it. I still have some stretchy muscle/tendon pain which may never go away, but the severe pain and stiffness is gone.

(((Guni))) It sounds like things are going very well! (And I'm so happy to hear that you're in less pain now. At least from the hip!) :)

Those Rules of the Hip - they are temporary, until you are fully healed? (Hope so!)

Well, that remains to be seen. The literature I was given in the hospital says that I have to be mindful of them forever. Everyone I've talked to in person contradicts that. Dr. Plaster told me he doesn't place any restrictions on his younger patients after the first six months, so I think I'll be free of them after that.

Hmmmm....so that might mean less steep trails and more gently rolling for hiking when you come? :)
