I couldn't find a website that was successfully streaming the inauguration, so I missed most of the live broadcast. I don't know if all the sites that I found were overloaded, or if it was related to my own computer and/or workplace. I did catch parts of it, however, and I can't recall a time when I have been more proud of my country.

they were probably overloaded

i know my net at work slowed to a painfully slow crawl

there were probably just more interest than bandwidth

I know how they can stop this in the future......every 4 years we get a 4 day weekend with MLK day then inaug day

works for me anyway :D

You would have thought such an important occasion would be done during a week-end or even a holiday so that everyone could share. Is it a traditional date or just lack of vision?
We watched it here (UK) in direct, an amazing feeling of hope even for us :-)

The date is traditional. It has been January 20th since the 20th Constitutional Amendment was passed in 1933.

The whole town of Bloomington apparently watched it and is currently in a happy glow.
