I ended up having dinner with the aforementioned former roomie and her parents after receiving this book and I ended up spending pretty much the entire meal regaling them with tales about antarctic exploration. I just went to the museum of natural history, where they have an exhibit about Scott and Amundsen's race to the pole, so they got to hear me bemoan Scott's refusal to use sled dogs and reliance on man-hauling.

OMG THIS. I've always hated how Cesc was written. I mean, I can understand why they would write him like that since he is one of the youngest. But, come on, the guy is 23 years old and it always bothered me. Especially when he's portrayed to be emotionally weak as well. It's weird.
And, I agree that it's weird that they would ignore his Barca ties. I mean, the guy is Barca through and through even if I don't support the team, I can acknowledge that.
