I recall an interesting article in Scientific American last year or the year before, about some researchers who were working with a man who had some immunity to AIDs. That is, he got HIV...and then his immune system dealt with it (the details are a bit fuzzy in my memory sadly). They were hoping that by studying him, they might find a way to confer to other people's immune systems whatever his had.

If you're into the whole social media thing, Twitter is a great way to follow a bunch of science publications--they post links to articles! It's goodtimes. ...although, I find Twitter too difficult to keep up with so I only check them occasionally...^_^;;;

I remember that too! Haven't seen that followed up on much, however. Medical stuff takes forever. :\

Eh, I'm not into Twitter. I'd die of terminal Character Limit restriction. XD (LJ gives me enough trouble with that some days...)
