Identity Theft - reprised

Aug 27, 2006 09:45

You guys might remember that during the second half of my last year at UNO, my brother was charged with a crime he did not commit at Grand Isle. Well, we now know who the culprit is that has his same description (blonde hair, blue eyes), knows our address, his birthday, and phone number.

*frosty voice* Scottie ( Read more... )

Wow, after that crazy stalker bitch, now you guys are facing identity theft. The worst thing I have on my palette right now is a lack of health insurance which doesn't even begin to compare. Jeez, wtf!

GIVE MY LUVER A BREAK powers that be.

Thank you.

I really would appreciate it if the drama would stop finding me and my peeps.

Lack of health insurance IS a bad thing -- have you looked into buying a private policy? They're expensive but worth it if you get sick (big IF there) or have to be hospitalized.

Thank you very much. And God, I'm so sorry that this happened to you! and that it's lasted for so long. I keep telling my brother that if he presses charges (he's still unsure - doesn't want Scottie to tell someone to shoot him or something) it will be record that Scottie has been using his name and address for police reports and junk. The newspaper retraction should be there today. In the meantime, we're just waiting to see if Matt wants to press charges against Scottie. *hugs*

DUDE! That SUCKS. I wasn't around when this went on the first time, but that really sucks. I'm not sure, but I think ID theft might be a felony. Especially if it caused problems for your brother.

The most exciting thing I did this weekend happened Friday directly after work as I was pulling out of my parking space in the parking garage. Ready? I ran my car into the concrete pillar. Long story short, I wasn't stupid, just reacted badly when a car that was supposed to be going one direction was suddenly going in my direction. I'm fine and everything, but I had to call the insurance company and I'll have to leave the car fixing next week. *le sigh*

But *perks up* Did I read correctly? Robin Hood fic? *glows* You were dreaming of it? *HEEEEEE*

Trust me, I would rather live without any of this brand of excitement - roller coaster rides ever few years is more than enough excitement ( ... )

I think there's something wrong with the cops there, because unless this guy has a fake id with Matt's information on it, don't the cops in LA ask for an id when they take you in? ANd if you're driving without a license, they can arrest you, like put you and keep you in jail. At least, in FLorida they can. I'm pretty sure that's a general common law thing, but you know, I've always said Louisiana law is special. And I can say that without coming off like an ignorant prick cause, yeah, I studied Louisiana Civil Code.

And exciting or not, a dream is a dream, and don't think I didn't notice that you didn't share what the dream was about, missy!
