Rose was in a fantastic mood. Seriously. Nothing about today had been bad because she didn't know about LJ fail, nothing had sucked, there hadn't been any stupidity to piss her off, and now she'd hopefully managed to arrange a night alone with Dimitri which - wow, she could barely wait for even as she walked down the hallway to his apartment.

Knocking on the door, Rose was purely focused on the surprise he'd have and didn't even think about the crown she was still wearing or the corsage slid on her arm. Probably she'd've taken off the reminders of her high schoolness if she had, but the pretty much complete happiness in the moment distracted her more than a little.

Dimitri rose from the couch quickly, figuring Shelley had forgotten her key again. He would have been mentally preparing a lecture on responsibility except for how he was glad for the distraction from his boring night.

Flipping the deadbolt and pulling the door open, Dimitri was honestly floored to see Rose standing there. Let alone in a dress and crown with flowers stuck to her arm. He didn't smell any obvious alcohol on her and he doubted she was lost... "Rose? Shouldn't you be at a dance?"

She smiled up at him, taking in yet again how freaking gorgeous he was especially in uniform.

"Thought it'd be more fun to come see you," she replied, flashing back for a moment to another time she'd knocked on his door after a dance.

Leaning against the door to let her inside was likely not the brightest thing he could've done. "Wearing any new jewelry I should be aware of?" Dimitri asked, thinking she looked beyond happy to be standing on his doorstep in another dangerous dress when he was supposed to be working.

Perhaps Rose thought it was Sunday already.
