So now my mother is filing a complaint on the doctor who saw my step-dad the other night at the ER. You know how he has been having leg pains? Maybe not but he has been having leg pains since before he went to the hospital for the big heart/lung issues. His feet were turning blue, legs swelling up, becoming extremely difficult for him to walk

Yes. To a heart patient who had already been to the hospital for 5 days because his heart condition was messing up his legs via swelling (so they thought, or maybe in addition to this artery problem).

According to my mother, he lifted up Harry's pant leg enough to look, asked him if it was his calf, told him it was a Charlie horse and to get over himself (Idk about that part but I've been told that before when my ear was bleeding after an ear drum rupture) and go home.

If he ends up having to have his legs cut off I'd be talking to a lawyer ASAP. There is NOT AN EXCUSE for a TRAINED PROFESSIONAL not running a test on a HEART patient. I mean come on!!!

I'd be super pissed if it were me.

My mother is definitely filing a report against him. Trouble is that the lady who handles that stuff was on vacation apparently.

Yeah, with Harry's conditions they should be taking that stuff seriously. It's not like it was some silly nonsense complaint that wouldn't be a risk for him. I'm really hoping they DO something so. They have to do more tests today and then he MIGHT go into surgery on Friday. He has to drag his left foot when he walks. Ugh.

It's really bad, also. Harry used to sneak around and scare the bejesus out of me. Now he can't really walk on his own because there is a STRONG risk he'll fall down. Steve had to help him upstairs and mom and I had to help him go from the living room to his bedroom.

Yeah me too. Like, holy crap why don't you look at him thoroughly the first time? Who knows how long his circulation has been blocked. Next thing you'll know they'll say it's too late, his legs have to be cut off. Fuck, I hope not.
