I am a Christian. I don't get pissy about religious humour much, but jokes about the martyrdom on the cross aren't really in good taste, esp today.

What is it about today? It's not like we don't already know what's going to happen on Monday...or rather Sunday, already happened, if the bible was real:

He was born, he lived, he was nailed (painful...but it can't be as bad as the Spanish Inquisition)...died...had three days' of rest, and then popped back up again to wave his friends goodbye before going home...ALMOST over 2000 years ago...and therefore, should have gotten over it already.

Actual historical dates aren't of importance; today is the day that the rememberance is set, as the date is not of course known. If you don't get the significance of considering the event and what it means as it unfolded over the week, day by day, then you don't.

Well, I guess I don't.

It was just about Easter eggs and Spring to me as a child in HK, in spite of my Aunt being Christian...and then, it was a source of gothic tales when I got older...and then present day, lulz...because it just doesn't mean anything solemn to me so the supposed holiness of it...well, it just invokes inappropriate humour that I could enjoy because I don't get it.
