Woo Hoo! Congrats!

Now, can I ask a question? How long did you wait for your acceptance? And did you receive a confirmation of your submission? I've got on there for a while now, so that's why I'm wondering.

It was out 22 days. Duotrope says they average 54 days on acceptances and 31.5 on rejections. Drabblecast asks authors to wait 90 days before query. Mine likely went through acceptance quickly because the issue I'm in was themed and they were looking for stories, and mine fit the theme (buddies/partners/sidekicks).

I did not receive a confirmation email.

If you're past 90 days, I'd query them. They seem pretty easy going. They've been quite nice.

I hope that helps!

That does help! It's so nice to find someone with personal experience at a market. I'm not past 90 days yet, but I always worry-wart when it's a new market and I don't know if they send confirmations or not and I don't receive one. Did they get it? Is it lost? Not much to do about it either way, but at least I can quit worrying that it's lost (not that this doesn't mean it isn't, of course.) Anyway, I'm at 40 days, well within guidelines, but I did see on Duotropes a couple of 17 and 18 day replies. I've been so good at ignoring Duotropes, too, it always drives me crazy to watch that thing. I only check it weekly now instead of 4 or 5 times a day. ;-D
Thanks, Guerry!
