A couple of students at MIT have created a program that, they say, can predict whether a guy is gay or not. by looking at his Facebook profile.

The sample size is small, but their formula is pretty simple: even if a guy doesn't list his orientation on Facebook (a tip off to begin with), gay guys tend to have a disproportionate number of gay male

It's no real surprise, but the University of Florida has found that the better educated one is, the more likely they are to support marriage equality, or at least oppose anti-gay constitutional amendments ( Read more... )

Have any of you studied abroad/lived/stayed extensively in a foreign country where homosexuality is forbidden? Will you share your experiences? I want to study abroad in an Arabic-speaking country, particularly Egypt, but, uh...I'm wondering how many issues I'm going to have as a queer American woman over there.
