WHAT!?! There exists such a thing?? That's like being a *** and a *** at the same time or something.

I know, right? It's like one of those eternal conundrums of life... it's like UFO sightings. Lots of them, but no logical explanation.

I think he was being sarcastic. I'd challenge you to find a gay Republican who doesn't have very good reasons for their political affiliation.

The fact that gay Republicans even exist is all the proof I need of how ridiculous it is.

Haven't seen it, but I think we have some closeted and not-so-closeted Republicans here.

We do. They are interesting too. Generally in a good way.

Yes, and liked it ok. Although I think it made some Republicans who happened to be gay as self-loathing hypocrites. And I suppose it's possible some are, but I think far more are like Steve Mays than the guy in LA or Palm Beach.

The guy from LA was obnoxious. Was Steve Mays the Mormon? He was very articulate. I liked the women from LA a lot. Partly because she was the only person in the movie whose partner was also involved in the film.

Yeah, he was Mormon (he was excommunicated). Young, a veteran (who was almost kicked out from his National Guard duty under Don't Ask, Don't Tell), and a state legislator.

Not seen the movie, but the plot synopsis on IMDB makes it sound interesting enough to pick up for some evening's watching.

And yes, there are more of us out there than you realize.

25% of the gay vote went to Bush.

I haven't seen this movie before, but I think it would be interesting to watch. Its quite a shame really, that there is such a stigma in the gay community about being Republican, and vice-versa.

It's a shame that people think it's odd to include yourself in a group that writes laws that discriminate against their own group?

I don't think that's a shame. I would say the problem is with the Republican party myself.
