I think you should post the review, even if it's not that complimentary. Someone still might want to check it out, and it's interesting to see your take on things, and even young authors don't have to be crappy.

KE thinks I should post the review too. I kind of feel bad for the author because it's really obvious that her book is one of the many dystopian YA novels that got rushed out to the book stores to cash in on the popularity of The Hunger Games. I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't have been allowed to go out to the public in its present state if there hadn't been a sudden surge of interest in YA dystopia. I mean, this is the kind of story that I could imagine a writer looking back on ten, fifteen years later and being horribly embarrassed that she posted such a poorly thought out AU on fanfiction.net for her whole fandom to see . . . except in this case, it got published professionally as an original novel and aggressively marketed to develop its own fandom, and she can't just delete it now.
