Two US-centric Public Service Announcements

If you're in the US and have been wanting to watch the BBC's Sherlock, it will be showing on PBS's Masterpiece Mystery for the next three Sunday evenings: Oct. 24, Oct 31, and Nov 7. For those who've ever wanted to see Fritz Lang's Metropolis, the newly restored version with 25 minutes found on a mostly intact copy from Buenos Aires will be shown ( Read more... )

Ooh, yes, Sherlock is SO worth watching. We loved it a LOT. So glad to see that it has been sold to the US, as it means that we might well get some more made!

You know, it was made by the team that do Dr Who, in the gap when they weren't actually doing Dr Who and were at a bit of a loose end... Hence only 3 episodes because there wasn't any time to do any more. And then it took off as a major surprise hit. Not a surprise it was a hit, as it was/is really good :-D

Thank you for posting this! I had been wanting to see it badly, and had had not idea it was being shown in the states. It absolutely made my day to get to watch it.
