Two US-centric Public Service Announcements
If you're in the US and have been wanting to watch the BBC's Sherlock, it will be showing on PBS's Masterpiece Mystery for the next three Sunday evenings: Oct. 24, Oct 31, and Nov 7. For those who've ever wanted to see Fritz Lang's Metropolis, the newly restored version with 25 minutes found on a mostly intact copy from Buenos Aires will be shown on TCM Nov 7. Dragon and I saw this in a theater Halloween 8 years ago, and found it to be surprisingly slashy and kinky for a black and white silent movie!
::eyes that:: Which means the last Sherlock is on at the same time as Metropolis. I think I'm going to get to try out the new DVR's 'record two shows at once' feature sooner than I thought....
