I can't be the only one who refuses to kill a story that's made it through first draft... can I?

Still not dead. And for the record, the first draft of this fic: 3,592 words. Only problem is, it doesn't work. GAH. God knows what the word count'll be on the second draft, but I'm off to change the setting and write the mother again (Old, Bold Marines for the um, half dozen or so of you who might know what I'm talking about), then go back to ( Read more... )

characters: joe dawson, stories: storm crow, weather, stories: resurrection fics, writing: updates

It rained on me all the way home and then stormed again here (Waterford, MS) the past hour or so. Enough rain already - it messes with my internet satellite *g*.

Sorry about the story, but I understand how it is.

Girl, we have to make arrangements to meet. I'm in Memphis almost every day doing hospital rounds.

Yup, it's raining like hell up here now, too. Nah, the front was hovering and making things ache. I'd rather have the rain. ;->

::amused:: What's your schedule like?

Thanks, me, too. Honestly, we could use a good month of it and the rest of the South needs rain every day 'til February.

yay for rain! (it rained here yesterday, too, and it was the niftiest thing ever.)

good luck with the stubborn bold marines. for what it's worth, I think changing the setting is a good call.

::wry:: I have never wanted to throw a story out so badly before, though. For once, even Joe isn't helping me write a fic, and that's just *wrong*.

Wow, it rained? Cool! {{hugs}} Good luck with your challenges, and I hope the new life is everything you wanted!

Good luck with grummy Marine, and for the record, I've never known ONE that wasn't a pain in the @$$ on occasion. I think they teach THAT in bootcamp, too LOL.
