Eh, it's what they think I have this year. The last few years it's been 'not lupus.' We'll see. It may change again.

You're welcome!

My mum has fibro, and so do I. It sucks, but considering MS runs on my mum's side of the family, it could be worse.

Best of luck to you as you deal with it.

I'm definitely going to be watching FG this week. Whether I continue watching it or not depends, of course, on the outcome of watching it the -first- time. ^_^ But ooooh isn't Torchwood starting this weekend, too??

Eep! Hope not. It isn't suppose to start until September 8th, and I'm hoping to have BBCA by then. Er, or are you talking about on the other side of the pond? I can't follow it over there. :(

I'm seriously seriously confused now. I've been seeing commercials for Torchwood on SciFi, I'm *sure*. And I thought the date was August 18, which I could easily be wrong about...but I don't get OR watch BBCA, so I know the commercials haven't been on -that- channel. Pretty durn sure they've been on SciFi while I was watching Dr. Who.

But I can't find a durn thing on the SciFi website about it, nor anything when searching for it on TVGuide.com, either.

*grrrrrrrrr*

Fibro sucks, but at least when things go wrong, it doesn't mean you're dying/losing hand function. That was very comforting.

My main complaint with it is that if one thing goes wrong, every single joint I've ever injured and all my chronic conditions go "Is it a party? Crashing the party, woo!" and then I get a much greater ration of shit than the original condition ever called for.

Sleeping pills worked for me, but I understand antidepressants work for a lot of people. I know they're working, I'd just like to finally get caught up on my sleep and be able to function.

::nodding:: Yeah, I've noticed a flare-up will make my joints ache, but then I tend to get low-grade fevers with them. Thanks for the advice and encouragement.

A lot of people do.

The thing about fibro is that everyone's fibro is different, to the point that my rheumatologist talks about figuring out "which" fibro I have so we can treat it effectively.

From my own experience, moist heat, moderate exercise, good sleep hygiene, laughter, and really good endorphin-producing sex helps. (shrugs) But you still have bad days.

::nodding:: And this is the first time mine's ever gone after hard tissue, so I figured fibro had to have a mad amount of variety. Yeah, I've been doing the plenty of sleep thing ever since we figured out it was inflammatory. ::grins:: And I was practicing the others, and eating right, before that. Thanks for the help, dear. Wishing you lots of good days!

I know you're going to do all the research, so you don't need advice from the ranks. But we treat alot of people with Fibromyalgia and the first thing my doc does is send them for sleep studies. We've found that a huge population of people dx with fibro have underlying sleep disorders, that once identified and treated, go a long way in treating the pain that comes with the disorder.

Hang in there. We're pulling for you.

Oh, I'm getting there, Pat. I've gone from two months between flare-ups to six. You know: vastly better. ::amused:: Although you'd have to know me to understand why I'm laughing at the idea of me with a sleep disorder. Me not being able to sleep is when we know something's majorly wrong. (Don't get me wrong: I'm adding it to my list of things to talk to my doctor about!)

{{hugs}} and thanks for the good wishes. I'll get there.
