Good, better, and oh thank gods.

Of the good -- despite spending far too little of the last month in the gym (amazing how long it takes to get over vacations ;->), I don't seem to have gained any weight. May even have lost a pound. Of the better -- despite the time away from the gym, I'm doing a slightly faster pace on the elliptical and upped my time on the rowing machine with ( Read more... )

I have *always* wanted the story where Joe and Giles hang out at a bar somewhere, drinking, bitching about the myriad aggravations of the Watcher's life, and maybe talking about '60s music. If anyone wanted to write that I'd be so very happy. (*bats eyes appealingly*)

Oh, God, that's perfect, Kat! Thank you for the inspiration!

*seconds that idea* Joe and Giles hanging out talking about Watching and music was the first thing that came to my mind also.

::laughing:: I have no idea why I didn't think of it, but thank Whomever for my friendslist -- which is to say, thank you!

Hard Core Logo?

(I have this image of the boys playing Joe's bar in Seacouver very early on, or Joe teaching something about guitar to a young Billy Tallent.)

Yay for Tiger Balm!

I've always wanted to see Joe meet the Lone Gunmen from The X-Files. :)

Tiger Balm is *wonderful* stuff. So is your idea. Joe and those three maniacs -- yes! Thanks!

Yay! I'm living in blissful denial that the Lone Gunmen and Joe could ever pass away, you see. Those three maniacs and my favorite watcher are, to use a phrase from Firefly, "just too pretty to die." *wink*

Much, much, *much* too pretty to die! (And I usually stop following XF canon about the penultimate ep of season 7, much less at LGM series. I really don't think Carter ever did know quite what to do with his secondary characters...)

Great icon, by the way!

Crossovers with Joe? You may kill me, but I can see Joe and John Winchester (supernatural) chatting it up. *g* Mostly because, while John's hunting the demon (in first season), he's tracking it by the signs it leaves behind (including weird freak storms and such). All the weird lightning that goes on around Duncan would definitely be something he might look up. *laugh*

And damn if I don't think I might consider writing this, except I don't think I can write Joe.

Problem is, I'm not watching SPN to write John! Have you tried pimping this to Vanzetti, however? She could sprint with this one!

I was going to pass it on to you, except that I know you're not watching SPN. Alas, because it would be a really good crossover!

::eyes you:: I can write Joe, if you can write John? I don't believe I'm... wait. Hey. I can do it from Joe's POV if you'll nit-pick the hell out of the first draft?

Joe takes a nostaligic trip "back home" to Chicago and runs across Harry Dresden. Either at the level of Joe and Harry... just 2 guys, or if you want to get more plotty, there could be layers of Watchers/High Council. Or Joe and Harry each subtly dancing around having to deal with the higher ups who Just. Don't. Get It. about being the man on the ground. *s*

Chica, *all of this* is your fault. I had to go look at how few Joe stories I have.... (But no, I think I've got it. About to go put on music...)
