Oh don't worry about it on LJ. The story had it in the disclaimer. Besides, I've read up on the movie on wikipedia. So it wasn't much of a spolier for me.

I liked this a lot, and I didn't need to know the FMA characters to understand their part in the story. Very nice, and Conor and Darius' use of the Spear of Destiny was *cool.* One of the disadvantages of being Immortal in some centuries and circles. Set in a extremely nasty place and time, but the stupid and arrogant use of ceremony is appropriate there. Glad you didn't go into more depth; just enough to dress the set and keep the story going.

And the setting of the story was actually dictated by the FMA movie, which takes place during about, oh, a fortnight before and after the putsch. But I could see Darius deciding after the Versailles Treaty that he was needed in Germany, and it all just kinda ran from there. Although Lord I've been making jokes about 'Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes?' ::g::

YAY! Feedback! {{hugs}} Oh, good, and you think it works? So does Merewyn, who beta'd it for me and is a major FMA fiend (and my source for canon manga, and the movie, and the art books, and... well, you get the idea ::g::).

Yeah, Al was a lot of fun to write, and Connor's eye for how Darius and Lucien get along was a hoot. I think the part that made me giggle the most was the ending quarrel about 'what do you mean we're going to be naked?' But is it just me or does the idea of Aryan would-be sorcerers conducting genetic experiments with dragon sperm seem all wrong?

(Oh, and *damn* -- write FMA and don't get to write Mustang? Arrrrgh!)

Hi there!

I recently found your fanfic website through some odd combination of link-clicking that I don't recall, and came across this FMA/Forever Night/HL crossover. As a fan of FMA, and a mild fan of Methos HL, I thought this fanfic was excellent and I'm awed at how much detail you stuck in without making things clunky, if that make sense. :D And Darius and Conner kicking ass! :D

::laughing:: I'm wondering if you didn't go from Coyotes' site to mine, actually, but regardless of how you found it, welcome! And thank you for the feedback -- I'm so *glad* to hear the info didn't come across as an exposition-dump. Most of my usual readers are HL fans, so I was working in FMA detail for them, and HL information for the folks from FMA who might find it, and well, vampires are pretty self-explanatory, thank goodness... I loved letting Darius and Connor cut loose. My main regret is not getting to write Mustang, damn it! (Although, the idea of Roy and Darius getting to team up scares *me*...)
