Wowsa! That's quite the fic list... I'm almost tempted to try this myself.

::snickering:: It's a terrifying list, but it did give me aspirations to write even stranger titles....

::laughing:: Kilt, Not Skirt sounds like Connor. I don't even know... wait, yes, I do know what Ventricular Arrhythmia. Ech. Ventricular Tachicardia.... Xanadu's Broken Columns? No clue. Yesterday's Shadow... hmmm. You put shadows where I could play with them!

Well, making up evocative titles without knowing the stories is pretty likely to be more miss than hit, but "In Xanadu did Kubla Khan a stately pleasure dome...." I was thinking of Alexander's drunken destruction of Perseopolis (IIRC), and memories of witnesses and stuff.

Knives at Dawn
Vendetta
Violated
Violets in the Spring
X marks the Spot
Year after Year
Yesterday
Yearning
Zabaglione
Zenith
Zodiac

A lot are just single words, but I notice that that is true for many of your titles. I even have moods for some of these, although no full grown (or even embryonic) plot bunnies. Having said that, some are being conceived as I write so if you want to know more about them, just ask!

Oooh, I love Knives at Dawn. Violets in the Spring has the potential to be depressing, somehow. X Marks the Spot is a favorite == you're the second to suggest it. ::giggling:: I'm now writing Capt. Sparrow, either!

Oh yes, Violets in the Spring is melancholy. A period piece - 1920s. Lamppost, light rain, dusk.

And I realised it was triggered in the recesses of my mind by a line by a favourite old lady customer at my mum's work. They were discussing the modern trend for roses as corsages.

"Of course, when *I* was a deb, we wore violets on our fur coat." (deb = debutante)

Knives at Dawn was a 'duel with a difference' in my head.
Vendetta is a sharp piece. Potentially nasty, but not as much as Violated (you don't want to be writing that one. It's not sexual, but it's still ick.) Possibly a follow on from Sirroco in some way.
Of *course* X marks the spot is Captain Jack Sparrow!
Year after Year was bittersweet but uplifting. A Renewal type piece.
Yearning too. Possibly a Methos one. What *does* the old one yearn for? He is too old to admit it, but there is still something I am sure.
Zabaglione has to be a fun piece. Possibly Amanda.

The others were just words from the dictionary.

I'm just fascinated that I actually *had* moods or mini bunnies, being so much *not* a Writer. And of course, they would be different ones to what someone else would see.
