What I really disliked about OotP was how angry Harry was during the entire book. It reminded me of times in my life when I was growing up. Hit a bit of a nerve there.

::nodding:: Harry's got a *lot* of reasons to be angry, but I couldn't buy that he stayed that angry for that long. ::wry:: He's a teenager; there should have been more emotional fluctuation. (IMO)

I entirely agree with you about Black, that was my first thought too. I bet Kreacher hid it.

Actually, someone else (graveandgarland I believe?) hunted it down in OotP. Harry, Sirius, and some of the others found a locket they couldn't open while they were cleaning the black spells out of 12 Grimaud Place. I agree; I think that's likely it.
