Merry Christmas! We added a new family member. Her name is Snuffy and she's a rat. She lives in my bedroom but she is Sean's Christmas present from me (Santa). She's white with a tan head and little tan spots on her back. She has brownish black eyes (not the creepy red ones). She's really really cute but still scared of everyone ( Read more... )

I'm sad. When Sophie came people asked how long she'd be staying and I answered "two months." Now people ask how long she's been here and I say the same thing. I'll miss her.

"What?" they cry. "She's still alive?!"
"She must be," said someone clever, "She's writing a journal!"
"Impossible!" they respond. "Inconceivable!"

And yet, here it is.

I don't have a lot to say... Summer's cool and all. I wish I had done more summer reading. I found something randomly that was pretty funny. Wanna see it? Okay.

It's funny how you can simultaneously hate and love life. Life and the world really suck today because of things like my last entry, but it can still be really great. I owe any happiness I may have felt today to my friends (most notably Joseph W).

I'm glad we exist.

Why can't we just be smart and outlaw guns like the other countries?? I was listening to the radio and they played this tragic recording. In case you didn't know, this is why I was so depressed today. It was a five-year-old girl who called the police because she heard a gunshot.
