As much as I hate going to the blog of Pizza the Hut, it does give me inspiration. It looks like George finally woke up from his Ding Dong-induced coma to realize that there is an election going on. Yeah, he always disables comments on posts about politics now because the comments end up diverging from 1) football 2) pizza 3) how great George is. And that is not acceptable. Also, people get into flamewars with him and with each other and the right wingers always start screaming that anyone disagreeing with them should get the hell out of their country and go live in France with the rest of the surrender monkeys.

It's not really cool that Laz-E-Boy takes comments on everything EXCEPT politics. It should be all-or-nothing. A little bit chickenshit, I think. I'd tell him so, but I don't have a fucking LiveJournal account, so I can't post at all.

Also, how is it that this guy who writes his 'bad guys' POVs with some sympathy for the character (Jaime and even Cersei to some extent, not so much Theon I guess) has reduced Republicans to one-dimensional caricatures and monsters? The guy should get out of the house and meet a few for chrissakes. Hell, there are plenty of em down at the Western Sizzlin', they have that in common.

I'm just more surprised of the fact that a guy who writes the best fuckin' backstabbing politics compared to pretty much most other authors obviously supports the untested "idealist" in this election. Yeah, way to go George. You wrote how "good" Ned did in Kings Landing. Ever wondered how well BO would do against the Russian Terminator, or the neo-colonialist PRC in the international arena? Hell, his own running mate keeps questioning his readiness...

But, well, you can already see why GRRM does not open up the comments on his political posts. We're already disagreeing here. With the traffic the Big Guy's site gets, it would be a bloodbath.
