Ugh,

After having to suffer through the Mets season watching the Giants offense play so flatly last night was zero fun to watch. I guess it only can get better from here especially when Beckham returns. At least the defense looked good!

Your posts have made me interested in American football. Are there any specific games or moments that you recommend watching? I'm still literally clueless about the history of the sport, so any small guidance would be welcome!

Obviously my own memories are colored by my love of my own teams, but some of the most iconic games are the Jets win in SuperBowl III and the Giants upset of the unbeaten Patriots.

For a broader view, NFL Films has a terrific series of highlights from every SuperBowl, first to last. Aside from my New York teams, a particular favorite is SuperBowl IV, where Chiefs coach Hank Stram was wired for sound.

I'm curious as to your thoughts on the previous SuperBowl. Many were rooting for Atlanta (myself included), but there's no denying that New England fought hard and just wanted it more. It was a well-played game and is, in my mind, the most memorable match of recent times (even moreso than XLVIII when my beloved Seahawks won).

I heard something about the 2017 Super Bowl being one of the greatest ever! Also something about how we are lucky enough to have the goat QB play in our lifetime! Seriously though, whatever you may think of Brady, it was an amazing game and it was the greatest comeback ever. Just watch Superb Owl LI and get ready to cheer for the greatest team in the NFL.

In last year's first NYG/Dallas showdown, 19 points wasn't enough for Dallas to win. This year, 19 points was enough for a blowout.

The Giants' offense is totally different with no OBJ. They can't run the ball and none of the other WRs look to pose a threat. And why was the O-line not addressed in the off-season?

Having said all that, Dallas' front line on defense looked dominant, and they'll be getting players back, too.

Week 14 at MetLife should be a totally different game, assuming OBJ is back.

George and other Giants' fans, I wish you good fortune in the wars to come... Now how 'bout them Cowboys?!

The Jets and Bills were smart to blow up their teams while the Patriots are at their peak. I've been too hurt too many times to be optimistic about the Patriots getting drubbed in the opener. Its too early in the college season to be sure, but there's currently there are two to three quarterbacks that have the talent to actually deserve to be taken in the Top 5.
