I got my mom a Kindle because she's having some vision issues since you can make the font really big on it. Of course I loaded it up with the first four books of ASOIAF to get her started. We've progressed from a polite "This isn't my favorite book" at the start to "Does the truth about Joffrey come out or does he just get killed, no wait, don't tell me!" She tells me the hard part of reading it on Kindle is you can't easily flip ahead to see if people are still alive.
As far as ebooks go, how do you feel about the medium? If ebooks were all you had to worry about there would be no arbitrary limits on size. You could publish a short story on its own or make the books as long as you like. Would that be a boon or just get you into trouble? Do arbitrary constraints force you to make the hard editing decisions that are ultimately for the best? Any chance of Dunk and Egg ebooks in the future?

I also see that they are using ADwD in the ads for the new Kindle Touch.
