Well, let's see. I'm driving truck professionally, and I'm married, and my son is just over 3 yrs old! I'll post pics. My main focus has been school. I'm starting my second year on my Psych degree.
Hey! Congrats on the 8 years. About to hit year 2 with Mary in February. Are you happy you retired from the club? All I recall is that it was a constant drama storm.
I was. I got laid off. I've been unemployed for a year. It's been rough. Unemployment's running out and I took this job so I could be around people again, maybe make some friends and try to heal up. Sorry I haven't been writing much, but who wants to write bummers all the time?
Well, there you go. I moved into a mundane life and my writing kind of fell apart. I was facing a lot of rejection in a multitude of forms, and all I was managing to post was black moody crap.
I'm working in sanitation still. When in doubt, go for the jobs no one wants. If you have a CDL, check out Allied Waste, IESI, or Waste Management. It may be long hours, and you have to get used to a smell, but it pays and people are generally happy to see you roll around a corner. What state are you in?
Oh, the usual - overworked, underpaid, watching the recession sink the business in slow motion. But I've got my time running six laps (1.5 miles) down to 22 minutes!
Way to go! I need to get back to running, myself. The recession is starting to hit Texas hard. The local paper has a lot of ads from small business owners selling their shops.
