Holy shit! We're both still alive! YAY!

We've been getting into games over at our place, though not in any sort of fun as Gen Con probably was! We own Ticket to Ride and Hey That's My Fish, and of course some Catan variations ...

Have you tried Arkham Horror or Twilight Imperium as of yet?

Cheers!

Holy shit! Indeed!

Good to hear from you.

I've seen Arkham Horror played a little, but haven't had the chance to actually play it yet. I've also heard really good things about Twilight Imperium, though I rarely have time for an epic game like that any more. If you like it though, you should also check out A Game of Thrones (it's a little less epic, but has a lot of good gameplay elements in that genre, and is based off the amazing book series by George R. R. Martin.)

Indeed. I liked it. It was a lot of light hearted fun. I also got to meet the designer and artist of the game and had a chance to play Journey to Jupiter, the new game that's about to be released in the next month or so. It takes the basic Killer Bunnies game and adds a board-game element as you launch your bunnies from the ground into space and travel the solar system to collect the carrots and bring them to Jupiter while avoiding the Beyea aliens and other ships. The basic mechanics are simple, but as with Magic Carrot, there's a lot of 'bunny bits' that can make the game much more complex if you want to get into it.

The designer is a hilarious and fun Italian guy from San Diego. Imagine Fenko but old and quite gay (but not flamingly so).

I actually have an autographed KB oversized card and a couple of autographed special edition cards they were only giving out at Gen Con.
