Facebook and Instagram are having all sorts of issues today. I was ready to blame the Russians until I logged in to LiveJournal.

It might be good for society if FB and Instagram went belly up.

Ok, I am glad that it is not just me. I was beginning to think something was going on.

Yeah, right? I thought it was just my stupid cell phone, but then I logged on via this old desktop and whoa. Looked it up and apparently lots of places were experiencing same as we were here.

Ha! I would be right there with you on that Global Warming stuff, except I owe PG&E $200 this month because we've had to heat this igloo and they charge an insane rate for natural gas for our ancient wall heater.

Don't feel bad - our electric bill this month was almost $700. That's almost twice the previous high. It's been cold and heat pumps don't do well when it's really cold.

One source said it was GLOBAL and affected Instagram as well-- which made me of course think it was HACKERZ, but hey! if it gets people back on LJ I'm all for it!

Yep, I read it was globally regional. I still can't post anything on FB, but I'm not going to complain about that. FB owns Instagram, so I reckon it's their servers. I read here on LJ every couple of days, just don't post here much because I'm liable to go around 10,000 words every post, and holy crap, it would be too much dumb drama. I prefer everyone else's drama.

I'm working on it. I'm not in a big hurry for many reasons, mainly devoting my time to the planning to get us from Bako down to San Diego, also taking care of Elaine. Bakersfield is such a hub, but I'll get there, thanks for asking!

OK! Funny how life has a way of slowing everything down.

Man, tell me about it. And then earthquakes, and here in Bakersfield we weren't far from the epicenters. The 6.4 on Thursday wasn't too alarming, shook this place up a little, but easy to shrug off. However, last evening's 7.1 was more alarming, lasted for almost a full minute. Hopefully, things will settle down now.
