Great news.
I went to see my ENT today. He's still not as awesome as Dr. E, who retired on me AND NEVER WORE STRIPED SHIRTS BECAUSE THEY SET OFF MENIERE'S ATTACKS, BUT..
MY HEARING HAS IMPROVED.This is really rare for Meniere's disease. It's amazing news. I kind of thought my hearing was getting better, but I put it down to imagination and wishful thinking. ( Read more... ) -

I've changed my user name. I've wanted to for a long time. A really long time. I've never really gotten over losing Malkie, and I wanted to match my accounts. tactile was a good account name for me for a long time, but the older I get, the less I actually want to be touched, so it's time for a change. -

John got me an iPad for college. Hello to the end of heavy textbooks. It's quite a fabulous gadget, but I have to say, my pc is still a lot easier to use? However, my pc does not have Angry Birds. Kersplat. I also keep typing everything with a question mark and I'm hoping I catch them all.

I was raped at the age of 8 by a group of older boys, one of whom beat me when I refused to go back to his home after the event took place. There is absolutely nothing I personally could have done to prevent the attack.

Thoughts on the GOP and Rape
One person cannot write the definition of rape for millions of others. Any rape is a violent act, even if bruises aren’t left behind. For the GOP to assume they know what rape is and tell me if I qualify or not is ridiculous and harmful. One of my friends said they should just call it the “You Asked For It” bill. Really, they should.

Furnace
So John and I needed a new furnace. This happens. The furnace was old, it broke a few days before our wedding, and we wanted to take advantage of the energy rebates. Fine.
