I went to see my ENT today. He's still not as awesome as Dr. E, who retired on me AND NEVER WORE STRIPED SHIRTS BECAUSE THEY SET OFF MENIERE'S ATTACKS, BUT..
MY HEARING HAS IMPROVED.
This is really rare for Meniere's disease. It's amazing news. I kind of thought my hearing was getting better, but I put it down to imagination and wishful thinking. But my hearing is almost perfect. THIS IS SO AWESOME. I went from having moderate hearing loss to no hearing loss.
I was so happy after my hearing test I cried. The Audiologist said she got chills while she was doing the test because I did so much better.
So I'm staying on my diuretic and he wants me to stop taking propranolol. I'm nervous about this. The propranolol was prescribed to help with the weird numbness and tingling I get in my hands and feet during periods of high activity. If it keeps up, he wants me to see a neurologist. : (
I like my beta blocker because it has cut down on my anxiety a lot since starting it, but I know my pulmonologist will be thrilled that I'm off of it. We'll see how it goes.
Right now, I'm just so thrilled.
