He wasn't the only one who could do without the rain.
The heels of her boots clicked softly against the dark, wet pavement as Kleio traversed down the sidewalks of Tron City. Her shift at the Archives had just finished and she had intended to do a little sight seeing since the Grid had changed so much the last time she was around. But the rain was off-putting and left her in a rather sour mood. "On the day I actually want to go out," she murmured ruefully under her breath.
A crack of lighting split across the sky, illuminating everything in white for a nanocycle. Kleio jumped at the thunderous boom and shifted closer to the building next to her, fingers clutching the hilt of her umbrella. That's when she noticed a black little ball speckled with red circuits hiding under the lightcycle parked beside her. "Hmmm?" She tilted her head down and peered a little closer to inspect the odd shape.
lol me too XD i just got this idea when it was storming like crazy where im at lolrinz_kittyMay 24 2011, 22:07:40 UTC
Rinzy looked out from beneath his shelter at the program that was gawking at him and shivered a little, curling tighter into himself.
"Rrrreowr," he complained. Another streak of lightning illuminated the sky, followed by a roll of thunder, and he jumped violently, his fur standing up on end even as he hissed a bit in fear.
"Oh?" Kleio raised a brow at the curious looking program as it meowed in discontent. She watched on as it ducked back under the lightcycle and morphed itself into a tighter, little ball. "You don't like the weather much either, do you?" she asked, head tilting to the side sympathetically.
The crack of lighting that caused his rather fearful response made the Archivist shake in surprise, blinking at him with wide eyes. "Come out from under there... let's get you out of this rain before you shut down out of fright." Kleio waited until he calmed a bit before cautiously holding out her hand towards him.
He considered her for a long moment before inching out from beneath the cycle hesitantly. A drop of rain landed on his muzzle, making him sneeze and hiss at the sky. He was really not pleased with the weather...
C.L.U noticed the small black object curled up underneath the light cycle just as he was riding back through the sector. He had been liasing with his Blackguards on any whereabouts of Flynn. He derezzed his light cycle and walked towards the frightened creature.
'Rinzy? Is that you?,' he put out a hand to try and coax him out of his hiding place. Poor thing must be frightened of the rain pouring down.
Oh thank the User! Rinz uncurled himself from his hiding spot at seeing the familiar program, but was still unwilling to expose himself to that cold rain.
Still, Clu beckoned. The tiny Program scooted inch by inch closer to the administrator, sneezing as rain dripped down onto his nose.
'You're all wet, Rinz,' C.L.U patted his fur and felt the water through it. 'We need to get you back to the ship and dry you off,' he nodded. 'I know you don't like being picked up so...will you walk beside me back up to the ship?,' he looked expectantly down at the soggy cat.
Roy and I are now singing Why Should I Worry~? hee. | andyeswearelovestalkingyou.ourliloperationMay 24 2011, 18:22:28 UTC
Roy didn't mind the rain hardly at all, but it seemed a lot lately that the Grid liked to be inclement instead of not. So, currently he was in a raincoat, walking through the city, shivering perhaps a little bit.
Then he heard it. A mewl. Roy began looking all around, trying to pinpoint the location of the one in distress. Another mewl. Feline. Roy's eyes widened, knowing instantly who that belonged to.
"RINZ?!" he called out panickly. Now, if he would only just look down and find his cat shivering under that cycle....
why should I caaaaaaaaaare~ lol goodrinz_kittyMay 24 2011, 22:10:33 UTC
Down here, you brilliant User you. The tiny black program poked his head out from beneath his safehouse and sneezed as the rain poured down on his already wet muzzle.
"Rrrrreowr," he mewled at Roy, trying to get his attention. Oh please take him home or just somewhere safe and dry. Rinz is not a fan of the rain...
Let's take care of our kitty!ourliloperationMay 25 2011, 01:22:30 UTC
THAT got Roy's attention and he was now looking down, his eyes wide as he saw his little family member soaking wet. He found perhaps a little funny seeing him wet but his guilty conscience soon had him picking Rinzy out of the wet mess and into his warm, thermal jacket...
"You just keep on finding new ways for me to rescue you, don'cha."
Ram held both arms over his head as he dashed through the puddles, looking for a doorway to shelter in. It had been countless cycles since the skies had opened up like this -- Portal turbulence, or something going wrong with the weather algorithms? -- and he had to bite back several choice comments about how either his old helmet or the solid, useful discs from the Encom system would have helped keep the torrent out of his hair. As it was, by the time he'd gotten under the jutting second floor of one of the towers, he looked as though someone had inverted a wet mop over his head
( ... )
awww you i love you its okayrinz_kittyMay 30 2011, 22:28:53 UTC
The sound of boots splashing through puddles made him pay attention to his surroundings and he peered out from beneath the 'cycle. Oh, thank the User, Ram.
Soggy little frame trembling violently, he mewled miserably once more. A tiny kitty sneeze shook him and he pawed at his nose in immense discomfort. He hesitantly shuffled closer to the edge of the bike, trying to keep himself in a tight ball to stay semi-warm.
"Hey there, Rinzler," said Ram softly, grinning even as he rubbed his face to wipe the rain out of his eyes. He reached out a careful hand to smooth the wet fur. "You must've been out here for a long time, huh? C'mere and I'll take you somewhere to warm up."
Rinz watched Ram quietly for a few moments, tiny frame trembling even as the actuary pet him lightly. He's not a particularly verbal program to begin with, and he's really not entirely sure he can speak without shaking too badly at the moment, so he settled for a quiet purr.
He sprang out from beneath his shelter and into Ram's arms, hissing at the rain.
