I'm healed, regaining my strength and stamina (if slowly) and life is generally awesome. Not likely to start posting any more frequently, but here's one for this year!
I'm also using this as a site for linking a fanfic I just finished to the author who inspired it.
You guys know that story? The reason we have April Fool's Day is that it used to be the first day of the New Year. Then the calendar switched, but some people refused to change over, keeping April 1st as their New Year, and everyone else called them fools - and I think giving gifts was a New Year's tradition, so people gave the "fools" prank

So, my sister got me an Mp3 player for my birthday this year. Brilliant idea, I need more music in my life and never turn on my boom box, so yay! But I studiously avoided it for two months, suspecting that setting it up would not be easy for me <-- (NOT TECH SAVVY). Then yesterday I got a surge of courage and went for it

Proof of improvement; I'm annoyed that I can't wash dishes at present, because for a month or so there I could. And it was awesome. Now, even though I'm not back to that level yet, I started laundry today and will finish it tomorrow. Stairs are a thing that can happen now and again

I know that the most important thing in any given movie or episode is keeping tension high, but sometimes it's just silly. Our spaceship is sitting next to a sun, our shields are down, the outside temperature has risen to where the hull is "critical". . . but there's still plenty of time for explanations from the scientist, and everyone to yell
