I am in love with this everything in this episode. Seeing Joe at the bar again was just like old times! Meredith reading the journal with Cristina. The whole dermatology bit was hilarious, Cristina is so funny. The Callie/Bailey/Erica moments had me dying of laughter. Such a great feel good episode.

I felt the same way about Joe. Does anyone know why he wasn't there last season?

And yeah, the dermatology thing brought a lot of the laughter back to the show. =)

You know what it kind of reminded me of? How they used to go look at the babies.

oh, it was a great episode so much progress, Meredeth is growing as a person, making strides. Georgey passed his test, Erika and Cali are doin the relationship thing, things are good, although I do feel sorry for Lexi poor girl likes george so much and he doesn't even know it.

There were a lot of amusing things about this episode, but I just didn't love it. EVERYONE seemed so out of character. The whole dermatology thing was funny, but I just don't see Cristina becoming so mesmerized by all of it that she would actually spend hours there at the expense of her patient, even if it wasn't some big surgical case. And the whole conversation about maybe switching to Dermatology, even though they weren't serious? I don't think she would ever say that ( ... )

A big YES to what you said about George.

This is pretty much exactly the way he treated Callie. Even if they're just friends, he's using her much the same way he used Callie. Callie was good for his ego, she was a hot woman who was in love with him and at that point in his life, that was useful to him. Now Lexie is the person he can gripe to about his life and who helps him study but when he's happy and no longer needs to complain, he runs to Izzie and Meredith.

I wish they would stop showing George as a "good friend" to certain people at the expense of others who love him just as much.

ITA!! What Bailey told Callie was imo unbelievable coming from her.
I don't think Derek should of left Joe's but I guess it forced Meredith
to stop acting like a big baby about every little thing.

George has always been a selfish ass, so nothing new there.
I didn't like the Alex/Izzie scenes. They were too rotton to each other

I didn't like their scenes in general, or that they're potentially going to go back to being totally fine with each other after all the mean things they've said and done to each other. I just like that he finally acknowledged his behaviour as being absurd.

Not the best episode by any means but I really liked it just because there was a serious sense of whimsy there that reminded me of days of olde.

Seriously, I think I might be a little in love with Bailey lately. She's just been looking so beautiful.

I found Callie and Erica really cute together. The way Erica was looking at Callie was wonderful. Brooke Smith really nailed their scenes together. My favourite was when she handed Callie her glass of wine. For some reason I found that really sweat and intimate.

One thing I missed was Alex's interactions with patients. His interactions with the patients make the episodes for me. I love them more than almost anything else on the show.

I agree about the wine thing, I thought that part was great.

I have a tendency to focus on these tiny things rather than big sweeping declarations of love because I feel like they mean more, which is why I have a tendency to like the other characters on the show instead of Meredith/Derek. Alex bringing Izzie a cupcake said more to me about how much he cared about her than any sweeping speech that Derek has made to Meredith.

I completely agree. The way Alex looks at Izzie a certain way, or the way he held her when she broke down over Denny. The things that the characters DO that show their true character instead of the loong monologues over their feelings really make the show for me.

I had been fairly disappointed in the writing at the beginning of this season, but it looks like things are finally turning around and we may be getting back closer to the Grey's I know and love!
