Is Hahn really a lesbian? That's an interesting twist I *really* didn't see coming.

I was really surprised by Rebecca's reappearance - I did hope she would come back to tie up some loose ends. I'm feeling a little confused by that plot though; I can see why she might fake a pregnancy to draw Alex back, but if that's the case I have no idea why she went to the clinic and let them test her. Obviously they'll figure it out right? And doesn't Rebecca know Izzy is friends with Alex? The scene at the end with Alex just blew me away though. I never would have expected that from him.

It was nice to see Addison again - I thought at first they threw her in just to remind us all about Private PRactice since it's not back until the fall but they did a really good job of using her visit to really point things out to lots of people, so I was really impressed. The heart surgery was amazing!

The scenes from the next really taunted me though, I am SO a meredith/derek fan and now I have hope.... which I am sure they will just crush :P

PS. I had another thought.

I'm a little weirded out that Callie and Hahn's friendship (which I thought was excellent, a strong bond between women) is put in the framework of "well they must be lesbians". Even if Hahn is. I am not sure how I feel about that. Bah.

That's how I feel. I really appreciated their friendship but apparently one of them has to be attracted to the other for their bond to be that strong. Oy.

The scene at the end with Alex just blew me away though. I never would have expected that from him.

We've received subtle hints throughout the show that Alex has a bit of good in him. However, when he finds out the huzzy is lying to him its only going to damage him more. *sigh* Poor boy...

Okay, um, first of all. What the hell have they done to Callie? Where is that strong confident woman who wears last night's eyeliner to work and doesn't care what anyone thinks? Addison teases her about Hahn and suddenly she's this mumbling... creature, avoiding her friend, being borderline homophobic? While Mark/Callie is definitely my second choice and I enjoy them together, it seemed like she only danced/went home with him because she was trying to prove a point. WTF Shonda? Did hiatus make you forget what your characters are all about ( ... )

I think, based on the writer's blog, that Rebecca knows she isn't really pregnant. Not sure, but I think. We'll see. I feel bad for her baby, who can't possibly know (her? I forget if it's a boy or a girl) mother, with all of her attention focussed on Alex.

Ah, cheers! I didn't read the blog.

I know, right! I wonder how she can just leave her husband and the newborn baby and head off to Seattle every time she feels like it. What does she tell him? "Oh, I'm just gonna go grocery shopping. Don't wait up." Ah, those long lines at the check-out counter.

The baby's a girl, btw. :)

Avoiding someone who may like you when you don't like them back is in no way 'homophobic'. Are you calling Hahn sexist for avoiding Sloan?

Addison's appearance was rather dull and disappointing ( ... )

I didn't think he appointed Bailey Chief .. I thought he said he would stick around until she was "ready". There is no way that someone who is so close to her residency (although she is an attending now, right? or is she still a resident) would ever be chief, I don't think - you need experience for that. Plus, now that Adele left him he doesn't have a need to retire anymore :)

I was pretty sure that the Chief appointed Bailey as Chief Resident, so she's in charge of the other residents and their interns, but not the whole surgical staff. Which would be why he still is around because he still has no one else to fill the Chief of Surgery position for him.

Yeah, that's exactly what he did. She's chief res, not chef of surgery.

Does anyone have the full 'sex like whores on tequila' quote?

M: "No, because we screw boys like whores on tequila."
C: "And then we either try to marry them or drown ourselves."

Addison: I walk on the beach now. I buy aromatherapy candles and I'm very Zen. But I wanna kick your ass so badly right now, because it is is killing me.
Mer: Excuse me?
Addison: I'm talking about Derek. Derek Christopher Shepherd. Are you letting him get away? Because I swear to God Meredith if you let him ride off into the sunset with that doe-eyed little thing...

From the way that previews and things sounded, I thought that this speech would take place a lot earlier in the episode, and that more of it would revolve around it. I enjoyed the way it did play out, but it's interesting to think about what might have happened if they had (somehow) sat down and talked about what happened.
