Too Many Health Issues

to mention. I need to just approach them one at a time and keep it manageable. Diabetes, Peripheral Neruopathy, Peripheral Artery Disease, and the beat goes on. It sure scared me when the physician assistant put the stethoscope to my neck to listen to my blood flow and said, "I can't hear anything. Hold your breath for a moment," and she wasn't ( Read more... )

I feel your pain Tom. Literally, I do. Getting old sure can suck. But there are some bright spots. I love the "Senior Discount". I save a boatload of money just at the liquor, cigar, and adult video stores alone!

And we seniors can say anything we damn well feel like saying, and walk around naked whenever and wherever we want...indoors, outdoors - anywhere, anytime! I love that too.

I've got a Facebook (Jamey Griesser) if you want to look me up and add me. (I don't use it that much, except for making curmudgeonly comments on other peoples entries. Facebook is good for that. :)

Edit: Holly just read this over my shoulder and told me I can't go around naked anywhere but in the house. WTF? There go my plans for the weekend.

Jamey you are too funny! Try running around nekkie outside and they'll lock you up, but at least it would be in a stinky old nursing home instead of a stinky old prison. hahahaha

I like the senior discounts too but we don't get as many of them here in the country.

I will indeed look you up on FB.

Thanks,

yf,
Tom

Damn Tom that's not right. I think I told you I have pulled the retirement pin also for July 31st. is my last day.

I got the aches and pains but last I looked I had blood flow.. I think the 90% alcohol factor helps keep it flowing.

Not to worry my friend you'll get poked and prodded then they will give you a pill er two and tell you to walk a mile a day and eat more salad crap.. well that's what my Doc tells me. I do it for a few days then fall back to my wayward ways.

Update on my house sale.. like you.. NUTTIN.. we had a flurry of of lookers if you can call three people a flurry. One guy said he would take it but he got vertigo standing on the deck looking at the view and damn near passed out. See what I'm dealing with here.. DUMMY'S

Good luck on yer tests and make sure she puts extra vaseline on the glove before you bend over.

Cheers,
Dave

Hey Dave - gee Jul 1 is right around the corner. Katie and I LOVE retirement. I can't begin to tell you how much! Well, except for this health go round.

They already told me to workout and eat right LOL and I do. I even lost 21 lbs since January. Only 16 to go before next January to meet my goal. We go to the gym 3 times per week and are eating much more carefully. I think eliminating most sugar fromt he diet as a result of high sugar levels has done the most though, but I do miss my ice cream!

Yeah I wish the days of selling the house with buyers bidding against each other were back. We've reduced the price of ours to far in my opinion, but nothing except $1M+ homes are moving and ours is a quarter of that. LOL

Anyway I hope it's a she and not a he with that gleam in her eye and glove on her finger! hahahaha

Take care,

yf,
tom

Who knows? I didn't know I had a problem, so maybe it's not even a big deal. I'll find out in the next week or so. Thanks Jim. yf, Tom
