1. I wake up from a dream of Loch Ness and the invention of new landscaping equipment and go to the chair in front of the iMac. I do this every morning. Every morning. Only the dreams change. And sometimes I try to remember what life was like before 1994, when the internet invaded my life. To be fair, yes, I did invite it in. This is the way of ( Read more... )

With regard to your writing, whatever you decide will be right for you. Start today, tomorrow, whenever. It’s your decision.

As far as the weather goes, I sympathise, I really, really do. I hate the effin’ cold. And here in the UK fuel prices have soared. You can’t even say turn the heating up - if you do, you’ll end up not being able to afford to eat the following month.

C'est la vie.

All the best.

Gods, I used to love the Weather Channel. For a while I even slept to it. It was just...weather. Meteorologists and doppler and stuff. Now it's some crazy, noisy, sensationalist crapfest.

Frankly, anything's an improvement after Matt Smith.

Oof, never say it couldn't be worse.

I didn't know you disliked him so much. I thought you liked him, actually, what with your "bowtie" expression.

The surest way to guarantee I'll never watch something, or read something, or listen to something, is to suggest that I do. Not sure why. Probably, I'm just an asshole.

In that case I'd like to recommend 2009's Dev D. There, I did you a favour.

True.

No. I just liked the bow-tie observation.

Smith's costume, including bow-tie, was heavily influenced by Patrick Troughton's who was in my opinion a far better Doctor, though I did like Smith. Have you seen any Second Doctor serials? I'd . . . oh, oops, not recommend any.
