He was such a brilliant actor, and I adored him in many roles, but my favorite will always be that of Vincenzo Coccoti's psycho hit man, Virgil, in True Romance.I just wasted about half an hour going through New Orleans photos, trying to find stuff for a New ( Read more... )

You had me at étouffée.

I came *this* close to attending law school at Tulane, because I love the place so freaking much, but ended up not, because I dislike it almost as much (part of it was that I didn't want to end up defending the annoying tourists for their petty crimes against the city).

I'm very glad you had an enriching journey. And, I can't say it often enough, I adore that seersucker!

I'm happy for you that you were able to visit with Billy; it was a desire I held for you and Spooky on this trip. And I can empathize with the desire for Home, even as you don't want to call it as such. I've been visiting my hometown quite a bit this year and although I would never live there ever again I still long for it in some weird way.

It was a major selling point when I was asked to be a GoH.

I'm pretty sure I'm never going to have a true "home," unless it actually is Alabama.

And unless you could be declared Queen of Alabama and say "OK, state, we have bad ideas to get rid of and improvements to make..."

But going in June, I'd burst into flames, true.

Oh, how I bask in that heat (though I wisely, mostly, stayed in during the day) when the heat index was over 100˚F.

You are the High Priestess of Heat, after all.

I love that title.

Actually, oddly, no.
