Decently warmish here in Providence. Currently 79˚F. My window is open, but I'm glad I don't have to venture out into the world today, because there's not a cloud in the sky, not a hint of haze. Just hunger.

To the best of my understanding, the show is only loosely based on the books and is one of those rare cases where the books are worse than the show. So Alan Ball deserves most of the credit, as you've described.

Thank the gods they only loosely based it on the books. We've retained Lafayette - who is my favorite person in the series. And we never would have had Russel Edgington and his wonderful broadcast if they stuck too the books.

I only own seasons 1 & 5 of Angel, the rest is just empty filler at times.

Based on some of the negative things you'd said in the past, I assumed you'd seen True Blood and decided you hated it -- I didn't realize you'd never actually watched the show. And that was sad, I thought, since you reminded me of Pam and would've enjoyed her.

Nope. Had not seen it. Assumptions were made, which now have been corrected. Also, Spooky told me - I think - that on Facebook you said I reminded you of Pam. Which amused me.

And, oh, the things that I like now, things that I never thought I would. Imagine that.

I'm like that with food. For example, I'd never tasted sushi until I was about 35. Now, I love it.
