I feel scattered, confetti, cut up, mosaic this ayem. I'd blame the dreams, but I might as well blame the drugs, or my defective brain (the conceit of linear thought is for sissies).

The sun is actually warm today, warm on my fish-belly skin, even if March is locked deep in a winter that needs to get the fuck out of here, and the low tonight will ( Read more... )

The architects of our own demise.

Indeed.

Can't see her with anyone, although the chemistry between her and Clemency was palpable, as they say...

Damn, that would have been sexy.

Enjoy your feast... it sounds good to me.

I finally finished Blood Oranges and I feel like I missed something... maybe because I don't read para-rom or whatever it is. Quinn is often thoroughly dislikable, but I loved Aloysius, and the plot and pacing were relentless in a good way. I'm looking forward to what comes next.

Hmmm. That isn't very clear, and I'm not sure how to get there... my ambivalence towrd Quinn is quite possibly a reaction to reading her story with Dancy breaks as I finally got my hardcover and have been keeping up with the Dark Horse presents. Sometimes I get Quinn and other times I wonder how she can be so clueless which makes me angry, and then there are all the other characters manipulating her for their own ends. So this story was hard for me at the same time I really liked what you were doing.

Just finished Blood Oranges. Though I felt empathy for the dear child, she's not someone I'd hang with. Just this fear of accidentally getting eaten. To be honest I have not enjoyed a protagonist this much since Charlie Huston's Joe Pitt. Can't wait for the next volume.
