Please have a look at the current eBay auctions. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure I'm never going to get used to this hideous new interface you have to work with while composing a post on LJ. I've been trying to figure out what this font is (not the one you see when I post, but the one in which I have to compose entries), and I believe it's Consolas. Ugly ( Read more... )

My copy of Blood Oranges finally came--turned out to be two copies, actually--and I read it in a rush, so: kudos, congratulations, that was truly awesome. I love Quinn's snarkiness and weird innocence, the brutal world surrounding her and the odd poetry of its intersections. I love the way her "powers" are horrifying and utterly uncontrollable, and the only strategy she eventually evolves is to try and be standing next to somebody she hates when they go off. I love that she's really bad at impulse control and a terrible detective. Waiting with baited breath to see more,a nd I hope you get the response this deserves.

Thank you! And I'm very glad that you enjoyed it, as I've been quite nervous about this experiment.

I've been composing my entries in text files for months and just pasting them in to the window last thing before posting.

I haven't got hold of Blood Oranges yet, but I loved Alabaster:Wolves. Strange to see Dancy so lost.

I fear that's how she is now. I think it was necessary for me to write her again.

I agree. I don't know what she's capable of now! Which pleases me.

Google tells me it's the honorable, venerable Edward Gorey's 88th birthday.
