Cold and grey and windy in Providence today, but much less cold than yesterday.

Friday scattered me between a half dozen projects - including the impending release of Blood Oranges and the Alabaster: Wolves hardback (PLEASE PREORDER BOTH). A big part was speaking with Steve Lieber about the world/character design and artwork for the second story ( Read more... )

I've been meaning to watch Werewolf: The Beast Among Us pretty much since I first got Netflix and figured out the instant queue was basically a misnamed bookmark list. I think I had the same initial impression of it, but sometimes I just can't help myself when I expect something to be dreadful I just have to watch it. Your description definitely sells it better than the cover.

No FRINGE spoilers, but I have numerous holes in my heart now, shaped like Walter, Peter, Nina, Olivia, Astrid, Phillip, and Gene.

And since our household is currently rewatching FARSCAPE, we're noting some curious parallels between the two series. I adore them both.

I watched the first season of Fringe when it came out. Then, late last year, I started watching again, based on the things you've said about it. Somewhere near the middle of the second season, the show became amazing, and except for a couple of "zany" episodes (with singing corpses and cartoon zombies), it has consistently delivered well-written, thought provoking, soulful storytelling. Now I just finished with the fourth season, and it's become my favorite television series of all time. So thank you for that.

Knowing that there only 13 episodes left, I'm hesitant to start tracking them down.

I'm still working my way through the earlier seasons of Fringe. I cite lack of time, mostly.

The nearing release of Blood Oranges and Alabaster is good - I'm looking forward to getting my hands on them!

This week's Classic Movie, With Daughter was 'The Philadelphia Story'.

and the fact that it involves a terraforming accident aboard a sort of star freighter.

I look forward.

And, inexplicably, Stephen Rea.

He is never a bad thing.
