I don't know how the hell I've never managed to see an episode! It sounds like I've missed a treat. I only found out it was a Holmes re-working lately; I imagine it beats the shit out of Elementary. That sounds too sucky for words.

The Holmes/Watson-House/Wilson thing is woven through the entire series, both in broad strokes and in marvelous little details. And yeah, Elementary sound completely wretched.

Interesting. I actually prefer to read them as separate comics. I think I just like the idea of reading a comic, the feel, the smell. Personal nostalgia probably plays a large part also.
