Congratulations on the offer from Roc and the teaser trailer for The Drowning Girl (which was as beautiful as it was tantalizing).

I wrote much of my last novel to The Social Network soundtrack, and plan on writing my next one to that of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.

Have you watched the original Swedish version of GWTDT? If so, how did you thing Fincher's version compared?

I've seen neither, but may I ask how? (I have read the novel.)

Looking forward to getting a chance to bid on a proof of DROWNING GIRL. Proofs of your books (and the chapbooks, with a couple of exceptions, that only came with long OP limiteds) are among the hardest of your stuff to find.

The things that are never talked about astounded me once I started encountering them. A grab-bag of awful that, somehow, flits under the radar of discussion until it's quite too late to be warned.

Many editors and publishers rely on precisely this state of affairs. But then, this is only capitalism as usual.

It's good stuff. You should be able to find a nice saison at a local liquor store.

Haven't watched or even thought of 'Farscape' in ages, but the second photo immediately reminded me of Rygel the XVIth's forays into imaginative self-portraiture...

Your hints about the dark side of the writing trade are tantalizing. But I'm guessing there isn't enough serious dirt to qualify for the witness protection program? Bummer.

Depending on the branch of publishing in question, there may well be. Pornography, newspapers, and news magazines, for example.

I would be sorely tempted to tell all and light out for the hills, just for the sheer pleasure of running down the street hurling dirty laundry around.

Oh, I daily want to scream, "Fuck you you fucking fucks!" But I also don't want to live in a cardboard box.
